Through the Chikmagalur branch of Safa Baitul Maal, like each month, this month too, pensions were distributed to poor and deserving people. Fifth batch has completed at the Safa tailoring centre and admissions to the sixth batch are in progress. Assistance of Rs.2000 was provided to a woman injured due to fire.

Through the Chikmagalur branch of Safa Baitul Maal, like each year, this year too, on the occasion of Ramzan, Ramzan ration packages worth Rs.1200 each totalling Rs.1.8 lakhs were distributed after investigation to 150 poor deserving households. In this connection a function was held at Tairan Shadi Mahal in which scholars, Imams and others were present. The scholars threw light on the significance of Ramzan and fasting and appreciated the services of Safa Baitul Maal and prayed for the organisation. This apart, rice was arranged for the marriage of a poor girl.

Through the Chikmagalur branch of Safa Baitul Maal, like each month, this month too, monthly ration worth Rs.400 each totalling Rs.16000 was provided to 40 poor and deserving people. Free medical camp was held at Furqania Shadi Mahal, Chikmagalur, in which heart, kidney and nerve specialists from Saptagiri Hospital, Bangalore did free diagnosis of about 500 patients and 15 seriously ill people were sent for treatment to Saptagiri Hospital, Bangalore and their surgeries were performed free of cost. Last earlier, this year too, in view of summer, cool and clean water is being served opposite bus stand to wayfarers and travellers.

Through the Chikmagalur branch of Safa Baitul Maal, like each month, this month too, monthly ration worth Rs.400 each totalling Rs.16000 was provided to 40 poor and deserving people. Funeral and burial of unclaimed bodies of the government hospital was performed. Emergency assistance of Rs.15000 was provided for the marriage of a poor girl.

Annual Report of Chikmagalur branch

Through the Chikmagalur branch of Safa Baitul Maal, several free medical camps were held in poor localities of Chikmagalur in the year 2016, through which more than 1000 patients were evaluated free of cost and they were also given free medicines. Pensions were distributed to 40 helpless widows and disabled people each month on which an expenditure of Rs.90400 was incurred. Assistance was provided to 10 people suffering from fatal diseases and accident victims. Assistance was provided for the marriages of poor girls. Educational kits worth Rs.23000 were distributed to 150 poor students studying in government schools. Free shroud sets were arranged for poor deceased people. The slums of Chikmagalur, district jail, orphanages and government hospitals were visited and food and other essential items were distributed. Ramzan ration packages worth Rs.215595 were distributed to 150 poor fasting households during Ramzan. On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, clothes and Eid packages were distributed to more than 100 poor households. On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, Qurbani of 5 large animals was performed and the meat distributed to more than 500 poor households. During winter, blankets were distributed to destitute individuals living on footpaths. During summer, arrangement was made to serve water at bus-stand. A public meeting was held at Furqania Shadi Mahal chaired by the central president of Safa Baitul Maal, Moulana Gayas Ahmed Rashadi, in which certificates and prizes were awarded to 100 girl students completing training from Safa tailoring centre. During the meeting, a new auto (Tata S) purchased for welfare services was inaugurated by the central president. Independence Day was celebrated on 15th August that was attended by the local scholars and school students. Muslim Personal Law Board’s signature campaign against Uniform Civil Code was organised. A total amount of Rs.980000 was spent on all these welfare services.

On the 12th of Rabbi-ul-Awwal, naan and water bottles were distributed to patients receiving treatment at government hospital.
