Funeral and burial of poor deceased people
Through the funeral and burial service of Safa Baitul Maal, arrangement for the shrouding, funeral and burial of poor and unclaimed bodies is made. During the year 2016, a total of 43 male and female shroud sets were issued by Safa Baitul Maal.
This apart, a destitute aged lady who had been shifted from a non-Muslim managed old age home to a Muslim managed old age home a few months ago and who was under the sponsorship of Safa Baitul Maal expired all of a sudden; upon the demise of this lady, the workers of Safa Baitul Maal, Hafiz Abdul Gaffar Ashrafi and Moulana Syed Ahmed Asadi arranged for complete funeral and burial and the Namaz-e-Janaza was performed at Idara Ashraf-ul-Uloom, Khaja Bagh and the burial took place in the graveyard of Kurmaguda, Saidabad.
A lady from Yemen who came to Hyderabad for treatment and was who undergoing treatment at Care Banjara Hospital expired all of a sudden and her relatives were worried about her shrouding and burial; upon receipt of the news at the office of Safa Baitul Maal, the incharge of the department, Hafiz Abdul Gaffar Sahab along with his colleagues went and took stock of the situation and after interacting with the family took steps in connection with the burial; after NOC from the country of the deceased and other legal formalities, final bath and Namaz-e-Janaza had been arranged in Idara Ashraf-ul-Uloom, Khaja Bagh and later the burial took place at the graveyard abutting Masjid-e-Meraj, Kurmaguda, Saidabad. Upon this service of Safa Baitul Maal, the relatives of the deceased reached the office of Safa Baitul Maal and Idara Ashraf ul Uloom and expressed gratitude to the incharge persons.
An aged person, Abdul Qadir Sahab, resident of Kalapathar had been undergoing treatment for brain haemorrhage at Asra Hospital; Moulana Abdul Majid Rashadi Sahab, field officer of Safa Baitul Maal had reached the hospital and enquired about him and issued Rs.10000 medical assistance; further efforts were being made for his treatment but after one week being admitted in hospital he expired. Arrangement for his funeral and burial was made through Safa Baitul Maal. Likewise, funeral and burial had been arranged upon the demise of father of a former staff of Safa Baitul Maal and likewise upon the demise of a disabled girl belonging to one of the huts of Singareni Colony, shrouding, funeral and burial had been arranged; also a free shroud set had been issued for Syed Osman Sahab belonging to Toli Chowki.
An aged person living with his daughter in Singareni Colony died in his sleep when no one was present in the house; his nose, ears and various body parts were mutilated by rats and bandicoots; on receipt of the news, the staff of Safa Baitul went and arranged funeral and burial for the deceased.
In this way a total sum of Rs.120000 (One lakh twenty thousand only) was issued on this account.
