Welfare services of Jamtara branch

Through the Jamtara branch of Safa Baitul Maal, on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, Qurbani of 56 large animals was performed and the meat was delivered to 735 households belonging to Margapalta, Harladia, Sabanpur, Matwadia, Roopdia, Narudia, Cherudia, Tarasathia, Jamtara and Manheladia. Training has begun at the tailoring centre for women and girls established under self-employment scheme.

Through the Jamtara (Jharkhand) branch of Safa Baitul Maal, education awareness campaign has been launched and educational kits were distributed to 63 brilliant students. With assistance from the centre, borewells were installed in 6 different villages and water tanks and submersible motors were also setup incurring an expenditure of Rs.2.45 lakhs. A day before Ramzan, Ramzan ration worth Rs.500 each was distributed to 48 poor deserving households from 12 villages. Eid packages have been prepared for Eid-ul-Fitr. Virtue-seekers are appealed for assistance.

Through the Jamtara (Jharkhand) branch of Safa Baitul Maal, a public meeting was held in Sabanpur on the topic 'unity of the community and service to humanity' chaired by the central president of Safa Baitul Maal, Moulana Gayas Ahmed Rashadi. The speech of the central president left good impressions on the scholars belonging to various denominations and the general public; Moulana Abdul Sattar Mazhari presented the welcome address; Moulana Mohammad Ayub Qasmi presented the aims and objectives and the services of Safa Baitul Maal. Moulana Israeel Mazhari and Mufti Yahiya Qasmi were the chief guests. In addition, Moulana Asghar Sabit Qadri and Dr. Naseruddin Umri also addressed. The guests acknowledged that such a successful meeting was held for the first time in Jamtara. Displaying the unity of community, people belonging to all denominations attended in large numbers. And all the participants resolved to shun the curse of dowry. The staff of Jamtara branch of Safa rendered best services in the conduct of the meeting. The gathering was immensely pleased with the services and procedure of the meeting and gave assurance to assist in the services of Jamtara branch of Safa.

Through the Jamtara branch of Safa Baitul Maal, a public meeting shall be held on 6th April in Sabanpur on the topic 'Unity of the community and service to humanity'. This meeting shall be chaired by the central president of Safa Baitul Maal, Moulana Gayas Ahmed Rashadi. Hazrat Moulana Noor-ul-Huda Qasmi S/o. Hazrat Moulana Abdul Rahman Bastawi shall be the chief guest. In addition, scholars related to different organisations shall participate. In order to make this meeting a success, a team of 200 youth has been formed to create awareness in Jamtara, Sabanpur, Giridih and surrounding areas and to persuade people to participate in this meeting. The members of Safa Baitul Maal have appealed one and all to participate in this meeting. This apart, water and dates were supplied during the annual three-day meeting of Jamtara district held in Cherudia.

Through the Jamtara branch of Safa Baitul Maal, new clothes were made for a poor student memorising Quran. This student had been abandoning education due to poverty; he was counselled and encouraged to continue education and arrangement was made for this educational sponsorship. As of now, three such students are receiving Quranic education and efforts are being made to ensure completion of their education. Medicines were arranged for a poor ailing person. The two-day annual training session and public meeting of the central Safa Baitul Maal was attended.

Annual Report of Jamtara branch

Through the Jamtara branch of Safa Baitul Maal, Khuddam-e-Deen Fund was launched in 2016 in which a large number of religious scholars and imams participated. Hospital expense of Rs.1000 to a poor patient and Rs.500 to a disabled patient was provided. A poor widow was transported to hospital for treatment. Assistance of Rs.2000 was provided for the marriage of a poor girl. Clothes for a year, ration and cash assistance at various occasions was provided to a deserving widow, who has three daughters and likewise on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, assistance through Rs.1100 cash and food items was provided. On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, Qurbani of 5 large animals was performed and the meat distributed to poor households. Signature campaign in support of the Muslim Personal Law Board was organised and in this connection a programme was held in which a large number of scholars participated. On the occasion of Rabbi-ul-Awwal, service to humanity awareness campaign was launched, during which the students were asked questions and prizes were awarded to meritorious students. In addition, patients were visited and fruits were distributed.  Also, a campaign against gutkha consumption and alcoholism was organised; various villages were visited and ethical discourse was given to the students of schools Maktabs and various questions were asked and prizes were distributed to those giving answers, on which a sum of Rs.7291 was spent. Borewells were installed in several villages facing water scarcity, on which an expenditure of Rs.308380 was incurred. A sum of Rs.1987 was contributed for tin-shed in the courtyard of a mosque in Jharkhand and a mosque had been built in a border area of Bihar.

Through the Jamtara branch of Safa Baitul Maal, on the occasion of the month of Rabbi-ul-Awwal, 10-day service to humanity awareness campaign had been conducted at ten different locations. During this campaign, there had been speeches by the scholars. Students were asked questions and prizes were awarded to those giving correct answers. Patients were enquired and fruits were distributed to them and at one location lecture on quit gutkha campaign was given and the people were made aware of its ill-effects.
