Welfare services of Latur branch

Through the Latur branch of Safa Baitul Maal, the government hospital was visited. A sum of Rs.4000 was issued for medicines and treatment to 3 deserving patients. The meat of 6 large animals and 5 shares was distributed in an organised manner to deserving people belonging to various villages like Madani Nagar, Azam Chowk, Islampura, Labour Colony, Burhan Colony, Latur, Kolpa, Lamahabna etc.

Through the Latur branch of Safa Baitul Maal, Rs.2000 had been provided to 2 poor widows. Partial assistance through 150 kg rice was provided for the marriages of 3 deserving couples. It has been resolved to distribute 500 Ramzan ration packages to poor fasting households during Ramzan and in this connection backward areas are being toured.

Through the Latur branch of Safa Baitul Maal, during the month of Ramzan, Ramzan ration was distributed to 400 poor people in cooperation with the Tayyab Trust and on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, 70 Eid packages were distributed to needy people; an amount of Rs.42000 was spent on the distribution of Ramzan ration and Eid packages. With the assistance of a virtue-seeker, Rs.300 cash, 3 kg edible oil and 1 kg dates each was distributed to 50 poor widows. With the assistance of the central Safa Baitul Maal, 400 tankers of water was supplied free of cost in drought-affected Latur city under the supervision of the central Safa staff. The government hospital was visited each month and fruits were distributed to the patients. For the supervision of newly reverted Muslims and partial assistance, a sum of Rs. 15000 was spent. During Eid-ul-Azha, Qurbani of 9 animals was performed and meat distributed to needy people and to about 300 homes in slums. Partial assistance is being provided to orphans, widows, and for guidance of divorced and poor couples. In collaboration with Majlis-ul-Ulema, taking part in signature campaign of Muslim Personal Law Board home visits were made and signatures collected. On the instructions of the centre, Seerat-un-Nabi (SAW) meeting was organised. Blankets were distributed to 50 needy people in winter.
