Annual Report of Naugaon branch
The Naugaon (Assam) branch of Safa Baitul Maal is engaged in service to humanity and in the performance of various relief and welfare services. The Naugaon branch of Safa Baitul Maal has provided assistance of Rs.12320 for treatment to 52 poor and helpless patients suffering from various diseases. Pensions of Rs.200 each were distributed every month to destitute widows. During the month of Ramzan, Iftar was arranged for poor fasting households, and on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, clothes were distributed to them, on which a sum of Rs.38000 was spent. Assistance of Rs.13000 was provided for the marriages of numerous poor girls. Assistance through rice and food items worth Rs.70000 was provided to victims of severe floods in Naugaon and Marrigaon and tarpaulin for making tents was provided to flood affected people. On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, Qurbani was performed and meat distributed to poor households in 31 different villages. Free medical camp was conducted for the students of Madrasatul Yatama wa Masakeen on which Rs.15000 were spent. Assistance through clothes, books etc worth Rs.10320 were provided to orphan and poor students. Construction work of mosques in Muslim inhabited villages is in progress. So far, three mosques have been built at a total cost of Rs.1008450. During winter, blankets worth Rs.8800 were distributed to poor and helpless people. Active participation was made in the signature campaign of Muslim Personal Law Board against Uniform Civil Code and awareness campaign was conducted.
