Through the Sagar branch of Safa Baitul Maal, monthly pensions were distributed to 48 poor widows. Food was arranged at the marriage of a poor girl. The construction work of the house of a deserving server of mosque has been initiated. Amount for the construction of a house in flood affected Bihar shall be despatched soon. An abandoned deceased was picked up from a bus stop and transported to hospital and was later handed over to the relatives after investigation and the funeral and burial was performed. Fare of Rs.500 was provided to a needy traveller.

Through the Sagar branch of Safa Baitul Maal, month pensions were distributed to 34 poor widows, patients and 10 poor helpless households. Construction of the house of a deserving poor has been initiated for which construction material worth Rs.25000 was arranged. This is fourth house being built through Sagar branch of Safa. One quintal rice was provided for the marriage of a poor girl. It is had planned to contribute for one or two houses from the 200 houses being built for the Bihar flood victims under the aegis of central Safa Baitul Maal. In this connection, efforts are being made to raise funds. Assistance to the students of madrasas and schools is recurrent. A water filter has been arranged at the office of Sagar branch to serve clean water throughout the year. 40 girls are receiving free tailoring training at the two tailoring centres.

Through the Sagar branch of Safa Baitul Maal, 220 Ramzan packages were distributed to poor and deserving households, the cost of each package being Rs.1500. Complete ration worth Rs.4500 was provided for the marriage of a poor girl. On death of a begging traveller, arrangement was made to transport the body to his home.1000 notebooks and other educational essentials were distributed to poor students. Eid packages were distributed to 40 deserving people. Clothes were distributed to poor and deserving people. Complete essentials were arranged for a poor fasting household. Under self-employment schemes, free tailoring classes are in progress. Arrangement of cool water for fasting people was made opposite the office of Sagar branch of Safa. It has been planned to get house constructed for an extremely needy religious server.

Through the Sagar branch of Safa Baitul Maal, pensions totalling Rs.21500 were distributed to 43 deserving widows and patients. Assistance was provided for the burial of a poor deceased person. Assistance worth Rs.26800 comprising meat, rice, ration etc was provided for the marriages of 7 poor distressed girls. In view of summer, cool and clean water is being served at Sagar bus stand. The fifth batch of Safa tailoring centre shall commence soon. Efforts are being made for the construction of house of a poor person; persons desirous of participating in this virtuous deed are requested to get in touch on 809505616. Self-employment scheme is being run for poor girls for making articles from waste materials.

Through the Sagar branch of Safa Baitul Maal, a meeting was held on the topic 'Unity, humanity and service to humanity'. On this occasion, sewing machines were distributed to 10 deserving students and certificates to 80 students who completed training at the Safa tailoring centre being run under self-employment scheme; it was also resolved to start one more tailoring centre. Prizes were given to 6 Huffaz of Madrasa Imdad-ul-Uloom. A memento was presented to the central president of Safa Baitul Maal, Moulana Gayas Ahmed Rashadi. Almost 1200 people participated in the meeting.

Through the Sagar branch of Safa Baitul Maal, like each month, this month too, pensions been have issued to 43 poor widows and patients. Assistance through ration worth Rs.8000 was provided for the marriage of a poor girl. A sum of Rs.1500 was given for treatment to a needy ailing person. Assistance of Rs.1500 for books was given to a deserving student. A fridge has been arranged to serve filtered and cool water throughout the year. Water facilities are being setup to serve cool and clean drinking water during summer. Fourth batch has completed at the tailoring centre being run to make women self-reliant and preparations for the fifth batch have begun. On Friday, 17th March 2017, a public meeting on the topic of 'Unity of Community and Service to Humanity' shall be organised chaired by the central president of Safa Baitul Maal, Moulana Gayas Ahmed Rashadi Sahab and sewing machines and certificates shall be distributed to girls completing training through the Safa tailoring centre. And, on the occasion of Friday, there shall be a sermon by the central president of Safa Baitul Maal at Masjid-e-Azad, Azad Nagar. Virtue-seekers are appealed for contributions to strengthen the services of Sagar branch of Safa.

Annual Report of Sagar branch

Through the Sagar branch of Safa Baitul Maal, monthly pensions were given to destitute widows at a total cost of Rs.205500. Medicines, dialysis, and monthly emergency assistance of Rs.33700 was provided to 28 poor and needy patients. Rs.10685 was spent for providing food, fare, etc to 55 distressed travellers. Assistance through ration, almirah etc worth Rs.26200 was provided for marriages of 10 poor girls. Monthly pensions of Rs.27500 were distributed to 4 deserving households. Arrangement to serve water was made at six different locations which cost Rs 62346. Houses were got constructed for extremely needy households at a cost of about Rs.300000. During Ramzan, Ramzan ration worth Rs.195000 to 150 families and on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid packages worth Rs.13000 were distributed. On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, Qurbani of 7 large animals was performed and the meat supplied to 350 poor households. During winter, warm clothes worth Rs.1600 were distributed people distressed with cold. Various schools were visited and students in four schools were reminded about punctuality and on this cause an expense of Rs.5000 was incurred. Through the Sagar branch of Safa Baitul Maal, participating in the signature campaign of All India Muslim Personal Law Board, signatures were obtained from the public and active participation was made in the meetings related to preservation of Shariat.

Through the Sagar branch of Safa Baitul Maal, pensions totalling Rs.21400 were distributed to 42 poor widows and patients. The sponsorship of a household comprising three visually challenged persons and assistance to 2 poor households is recurrent. Assistance through rice was provided for the marriage of a needy girl. Third batch at Safa tailoring centre is nearing completion and preparation for next batch is underway. Religious awareness campaign was organised in five schools of Sagar town and students were asked religious questions and prizes were also awarded to them. This campaign has been well appreciated by the administrators of schools and expressed desire to conduct this campaign every month. In view of winter, 5 warm sheets were distributed to deserving people for protection from cold weather.
