Welfare services of Shimoga branch

Through the Shimoga branch of Safa Baitul Maal, like each month, this month too, pensions of Rs.500 each totalling Rs.15000 were distributed to 30 poor widows. Assistance of Rs.1000 was provided for treatment to a deserving patient. Assistance of Rs.1000 was provided to a poor person. Under self-employment scheme, third tailoring centre shall be started soon. The medical college of Shimoga shall be toured on the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal where patients shall be enquired and fruits shall be distributed to them.

Through the Shimoga branch of Safa Baitul Maal, pensions of Rs.500 each totalling Rs.17500 were distributed to 35 poor widows. A sum of Rs.5000 was provided for the marriages of 2 poor girls. Funeral and burial was arranged for an unclaimed deceased. Monthly pension of Rs.1500 was determined after investigation for two disabled girls.

Through the Shimoga branch of Safa Baitul Maal, like every month, this month too, pensions of Rs.500 each were distributed to 24 poor widows. Assistance through food articles worth Rs.2500 was provided for the marriage of a deserving girl. On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, Qurbani of 10 large animals was performed and meat distributed in surrounding villages. Two tailoring centres are being run under self-employment scheme and a third centre has been setup in Lashkar Mohalla. Drinking water was arranged at the protest rally organised to condemn the murder of Kannada journalist Gauri Lankesh.

Through the Shimoga branch of Safa Baitul Maal, like every month, this month too, pensions of Rs.500 each totalling Rs.15000 were distributed to 50 poor widows. Eid packages worth Rs.27500 were distributed to 60 deserving people. Partial assistance of Rs.3000 was provided for the marriage of a poor girl.

Through the Shimoga branch of Safa Baitul Maal, Ramzan ration packages worth Rs.1500 each totalling Rs.225000 had been distributed to 150 poor fasting households. Rs.6000 had been provided to 3 deserving students for college fees. On occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, it has been planned to distribute Eid kits to poor households.

Through the Shimoga branch of Safa Baitul Maal, like each month, this month too, pensions of Rs.500 each totalling Rs.12500 were distributed to 25 poor widows. In view of Ramzan, it has been planned to distribute Ramzan ration to 300 poor fasting households, the cost of each package being Rs.1500. 150 Ramzan packages shall be distributed on 27th May at Furqania Shadi Mahal.

Through the Shimoga branch of Safa Baitul Maal, like each month, this month too, pensions of Rs.500 each totalling Rs.15000 were distributed to 30 widows. Clothes worth Rs.3000 were provided for the marriage of a poor girl. Circumcision of a new-Muslim was performed and his marriage was performed with a poor girl. In view of summer, water facilities have been setup at two different locations, through which 1500 people are quenching their thirst daily. 75 women are receiving training at the tailoring centres being run under self-employment scheme.

Through the Shimoga branch of Safa Baitul Maal, like each month, this month too, pensions of Rs.500 each totalling Rs.17500 have been distributed to 35 poor widows. Medical assistance of Rs.2000 was provided to a needy person. 77 women have completed tailoring training from Safa tailoring centre and certificates and shields were distributed to them through the central president of Safa Baitul Maal, Moulana Gayas Ahmed Rashadi and new admissions have begun. In view of summer, water facilities were inaugurated by the central president at two prominent locations of Shimoga, Gandhi Bazaar Circle and bus stop. About 1500 people are being benefited daily through these facilities, the per day expenditure being Rs.1000.

Through the Shimoga branch of Safa Baitul Maal, like each month, this month too, pensions of Rs.500 each totalling Rs.17500 have been distributed to 35 poor widows. A Maktab has been started in which 14 students are receiving religious education and desks have been arranged for the students incurring an expenditure of Rs.2900. One month ration worth Rs.2700 was provided to a poor person. In view of the summer season, arrangement to serve water shall be initiated at various locations of Shimoga from the 1st of March.

Annual Report of Shimoga branch

Since its inception, the Shimoga branch of Safa Baitul Maal, at the behest of centre, is continuously engaged in various services; it has attained a remarkable position due to its services in the surrounding areas and villages. Kindly go through the concise outline of the services carried out in 2016 under the auspices of the Shimoga branch of Safa Baitul Maal. Pensions of 500 each were given each month to 40 poor widows incurring a total expenditure of Rs 240000. Medical assistance of Rs.10000 was provided to 5 poor and needy patients. Complete arrangement for the funeral and burial of 3 unclaimed bodies was made at an expense of Rs. 9000. Partial assistance of Rs.15000 through bed and almirah etc was provided for marriages of poor girls. Ramzan ration worth Rs.1500 each totalling Rs.225000 was provided to 130 poor fasting households during the month of Ramzan. Likewise on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid packages worth Rs.25000 were distributed to poor households. Rs.10000 was given to five poor students for payment of fees. Water pitchers were arranged at two locations to serve cool and filtered water for 50 days during summer season through which almost 1000 people were benefited every day and a total sum of Rs.45000 was spent on this service. Two tailoring centres are being run in order to make women self-reliant in which 75 women are receiving tailoring traning and on which an expense of Rs.150000 was incurred. On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, 5 large animals on behalf of the central Safa Baitul Maal and 20 on behalf of the Shimoga branch were sacrificed and the meat distributed to poor people belonging to different areas of Shimoga and its surrounding villages. A hospital in Shimoga was visited where fruits were distributed to 100 patients incurring an expense of Rs.4000. Partial assistance of Rs.10000 was provided to distressed people. On the occasion of Independence Day, the tri-colour was unfurled and chocolates were distributed to the children. A morning religious school has been started at the office of the Shimoga branch of Safa.

The Shimoga branch of Safa Baitul Maal received a total income Rs.1100000 through scrap, Zakat, donations etc in the year 2016. Through the Shimoga branch of Safa Baitul Maal, currently services are being performed in eleven departments. Insha Allah, more services in more departments shall be added later.

An almirah worth Rs.4000 was provided for the marriage of a deserving girl. The government hospital was toured on the 21st of December and fruits were distributed to the poor. On the demise of an accident victim poor boy funeral and burial was arranged.
