Muslim Personal Law Board’s Signature Campaign organised throughout India by Safa Baitul Maal
The central Safa Baitul Maal and the in-charge persons of the branches located throughout India fully participated in the signature campaign organised by the Muslim Personal Law Board; nearly 170000 (one lakh seventy thousand) forms were printed through the central office. The volunteers of Safa Baitul Maal went to various areas of Hyderabad and organised the signature campaign under the supervision of local representatives and they went from home to home to collect signatures and they created public awareness about campaign and on the occasion of Friday prayers the workers of Safa setup formal counters, distributed signature forms and collected the signed forms. These signed forms were scanned and emailed them to the email id of the Law Commission issued by the Board; in addition to Hyderabad, forms were also despatched to the surrounding branches upon insistence by the respective in-charge persons. The incharge persons of Khanapur, Adilabad, Nirmal, Utnoor, Bhainsa, Zaheerabad, Wanaparthy, Kalwakurthy, Jagtiyal and other districts deposited the forms at the central office of Safa Baitul Maal through post and in person; these forms were scanned and sent to the email ids of the Law Commission. Through the central Safa Baitul Maal about 37000 forms (more than three lakh signed forms) were dispatched to email Law Commission and their hard copies were included with the forms deposited at the office of City Jamiat Ulema, Greater Hyderabad and were despatched to the office of All India Muslim Personal Law Board in Delhi. In addition, the in-charge persons of the branches located throughout India, upon instructions from the centre, fully participated in the signature campaign in association with local organisations.
